Some Decisions Only Make Sense In Hindsight
Looking back, some of the most important decisions in my life appeared completely unreasonable at the time.
Not because they were reckless.
Because they didn’t fit society’s script.
They lacked certainty.
They lacked approval.
And they often made little sense to the people around me.
That’s the strange thing about many life decisions.
The decisions that shape us most, rarely come with guarantees.
They arrive as uncomfortable choices between what feels safe and what feels aligned.
Most of us are taught to make reasonable decisions.
Study the sensible subject.
Choose the stable career.
Follow the proven path.
Nothing wrong with that.
The challenge is that a decision can be completely reasonable and still take you further away from the life you actually want.
Property decisions are no different.
Sometimes the most reasonable option is not the most aligned one.
Sometimes the safest location isn’t where you truly want to spend the next decade.
Sometimes a decision feels uncomfortable because you’re choosing what matters to you instead of what earns approval from others.
Life has a way of making certain decisions look obvious in hindsight.
The challenge is we don’t see hindsight when making decisions.
We only get today’s information, today’s fears, and today’s uncertainty.
Perhaps that’s why some of the most meaningful decisions rarely feel comfortable.
They simply feel worth taking responsibility for.
